Andrassy Avenue

13-Oct-2012 • Budapest Hungary

From the Szechenyi Baths, Marc and I returned to Heroes' Square and then from there walked towards Andrassy Avenue.  The famous avenue is said to have been the place to see and be seen in Budapest in the olden days.  Walking along the avenue, it didn't take us long to find out why.  It is lined with majestic mansions and palaces on both sides.

While it may have lost some of its grandeur, the avenue is still considered a rich place in the city of Budapest.  It is the area chosen by many governments to set up their embassies in.
