I Miss Flying
If you have been following me on Instagram, you will for surely have seen my last post where I said I missed flying. It's true.
It has been five months since I last flew. That was when I returned from my most wonderful trip to Lima in Peru via LATAM Airlines. After that trip, I was supposed to travel to Israel for Christmas and then to Portland, this week, for my spring break. We cancelled these trips. Marc and I decided to stay home last Christmas for personal reasons. As for Portland, well, it's due to the pandemic we still face today.
I have saved the money I was supposed to use for these two trips but to tell you the truth, I long to see new places really, really bad. I for sure have the most virulent strain of the wanderlust. I actually have one more trip booked and paid for this summer and that's to London and Israel. I suppose I will have to rebook the trip as well. From the looks of it, it is what will most probably happen just to play safe.
I guess it's not so bad staying home and just enjoying the attractions here at home in the USA. After all, there are plenty to see. I really don't mind it, it's just that I had already set my heart set on seeing the Holy Land. Anyway, I do want to see Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, New Mexico, Austin, and even Los Angeles again. We shall see.
