Huaca Pucllana, The Inca Ruins in Lima
It was during our three hour city tour of Lima when I first caught a glimpse of the Inca ruins called Huaca Pucllana in Miraflores. I had read about it before traveling to Peru and I knew I wanted to see it. Thus, on our second day in Lima, Marc and I went to visit it. It was located in the same district where our hotel, the Ibis Larco Miraflores, was located. We in fact just walked to the site after we were given directions by Javier from the tourist office. Admission was just 15 soles per person or 30 soles for both Marc and I.
Touring the ruins independently was not allowed. All visitors had to join a tour based on the visitors' language and it lasted an hour.
I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The ruins were humongous and impressive. It just amazed me how well they were preserved up to this day and age.
