Denver, Colorado
I had the good fortune of visiting Colorado for a second time two weeks ago. This time, it was Denver. On my first visit, I went to Colorado Springs. Gosh, that trip took place 19 years ago. Anyway, I was more than happy to be back. The plane ride from SFO to Denver International took 1.5 hours going over and 2.5 hours coming back. I had heard so much of Denver and I have met lots of people in San Francisco who came from Denver. What made the visit even more exciting was the cold and snow. I hate the hot weather, you see!
Boy, was I like a kid in a candy store playing with the snow, the fresh powder that fell just hours before Marc and I arrived in the city.
We walked along the 16th Street Mall, visited the very hip and fashionable Union Station, saw Molly Brown's home (the lady who survived the Titanic), saw Larimer Square, found out that there was a train that traveled from the airport to downtown, and got to see the amazing Red Rocks Amphitheater.
My visit was short just like my first trip. Just one weekend. Another trip would definitely be nice to do. Hopefully, this time around, it wouldn't take 19 years before I return.
