The London Eye

16-Aug-2019 • London England

Marc and I didn't ride the London Eye last July 2015. We saw the line for it from Westminster Bridge and we didn't have the patience to stand in line for a long time. Fast forward to July 2019 and this time, Catherine and her family bought tickets so that I could experience it. Now that I have done it, I can say that it was an amazing experience. Definitely worth it. I enjoyed it so much.

Catherine and her daughter picked me up early in the morning on my third day from the Premier Inn in downtown Epsom Downs. From there, we had breakfast at an American style diner. Once done, we drove to Tattenham Train Station to board our London bound train. We had combo tickets for the aquarium and the London Eye.

It was so cool to see London from up above. It was nice that every capsule wasn't packed. In fact, only 15 to 20 people were allowed to board each one. There was ample space for all of us to walk around while the gigantic ferris wheel went around. The whole ride lasted around half an hour.

Each capsule was checked for bombs once everyone disembarked, I plan to return to London next year and I don't mind riding the London Eye again.

Off to see the London Eye

The Waterloo Station. I first saw this station in 1997 and at that time it was here passengers went to board the train that would take them to mainland Europe. Today, it has become a local station with trains going to neighboring cities and suburbs of the English capital.

I loved these postcards! Very colorful.

School kids were everywhere. I expected it since it was summer break.
