The Archaeological Museum of Athens

The Archaeological Museum of Athens was one museum and Athenian attraction we couldn't afford to miss while we were in Greece. Although it was in the city, it was nowhere near Syntagma Square. We were advised to take a certain bus from the National Gardens and walked a few city blocks to get there. Likewise, we had to ask a few people along the way but overall it wasn't hard to reach.

I must say, it was a good respite from the stifling heat of Athens being indoors. The exhibits were beautiful and impressive no doubt. It being Greek, there were more statues than paintings. Marc and I must have spent at least two hours here. It would be nice to return and visit the museum once again but on a much more leisurely pace.
