Sevilla! Sevilla!

It was truly a pleasure to return to Seville after my first visit last Spring 1988. To be honest, I never thought I'd have the opportunity again..

I was so glad I did. It felt so nice that the weather had cooled down too during our quick day trip. Unlike our visits to Cordoba, Fuengirola, and Torremolinos, it was not a pain to walk around the city because of the intense searing heat which hit us all the time we were in the South of Spain.

I was in Seville for a short day during my very first visit and my memories of the place weren't as clear. They all actually depended on pictures of myself taken at the Plaza de España, the Plaza de Toros, as well as the Torre de Oro.

Given the number of pictures I took, I am doing two posts on Seville, this being the first one.

This was the very first impressive building we saw in downtown Seville as soon as we got off the bus. I will have to look up the internet to find out which it exactly was.

By the Torre de Oro! Oh what memories!

A local bar in the city center. I never took pictures of bars without asking permission first. I was quite surprised all the people I asked permission from were so kind and open to the idea.

The Plaza de España

At Plaza de España sitting on one of its ceramic benches. Chose the one dedicated to the city of Salamanca. This Spanish city has a special place in my heart besides Madrid since I received my much longed Masters in Spanish from the University of Salamanca. Spain's oldest and most prestigious, mind you! Sorry for gloating! Haha!
