The IBIS Malaga City Center Hotel
I am a fan of the IBIS Hotels worldwide. Although I haven't exactly stayed in one in each and every city and country I've traveled to, I surely have stayed in plenty of them. I can also say that the IBIS in Malaga besides the IBIS Liberdade in Lisbon rank as my favorites. The Malaga branch had the biggest rooms. So spacious, they reminded me of hotel rooms in the US. The only difference is that the IBIS costs much less, much, much less than American hotels.
In fact, a stay a night here cost us way under $100. Nowhere in the US can you have a hotel stay for a similar amount, unless you stay in a roach infested room in a grungy hotel in a bad area. I am truly thankful for this chain since it enables us to travel to many places all over the world and not hurt our budget. If only it existed in the US, I'd be able to travel as much domestically as well.
Marc and I stayed here for a total of four nights and we checked in before 10 am. We left our IBIS Budget hotel room a few blocks away and just tried our luck here by showing up early. Surprisingly, the male employee at the check in desk called up one of the room cleaners to see which room was already available and gave us the key. We were truly grateful and impressed.
