Visiting museums in Washington DC was no doubt our main activity during our visit. I would have wanted to walk all over the city to sightsee but the intense cold left us no choice but to go indoors. Thank goodness most of the museums offered free admission. I had seen some during my first visit last 1994 but it was good to see the sites once more. I did notice many of the buildings which housed the museums to be rather dated. I wonder if the sites would be refurbished and brought up to date soon. It would be nice, not to mention ideal.

Anyway, we spent at least two hours here at the Natural History Museum. I must confess, I didn't enjoy myself so much in these places. It wasn't the museums' fault but mine. While my thermal top and bottom kept me perfectly warm while walking in the streets of DC, they were simply too warm to have on indoors. I had no other choice but to grin and bear it.
