Dreaming of Travel

It's been a month and a half now since I last traveled. I would be lying if I said I didn't dream of more travel because the truth of the matter is, I do. I do a lot.

I am still flabbergasted at the thought that I have gone to 92 countries. I've always hoped that I would travel one day. It just never dawned on me that I would actually come close to a hundred. I find it funny too that people who follow me on Instagram call me a world traveler. As a youngster growing up in the Philippines, it seemed absolutely impossible to go anywhere without wads and wads of cash. If there is one thing I discovered from all my travels, I realized one doesn't have to be wealthy to do so. Traveling and seeing the world can be very affordable. That is what I always answer each and every time people wonder how a school teacher like myself can afford to see much of the world.

I did discover that it is much cheaper for us to visit faraway lands than travel within my adopted country of the USA. Have you ever searched the prices of accommodations in major American cities. They are outrageous. Staying in a mid range New York hotel for instance at $250 a night is too expensive for my blood. That is just the plain truth. This explains why I prefer to travel to Asia and Europe a lot more.

I can't wait to step foot in the Middle East. I am even intrigued by Iran. I do hope to reach 100 countries soon. I am just so thankful for the life I've led as a traveler. It's been fun!!!

I always enjoy going inside an airplane. I enjoy is interior and its seats even if they are in coach. I took this picture inside the Thai Airways flight we took to Yangon, Myanmar from Bangkok last December 2016.
