The Chicago Public Library

7-Sep-2017 • Chicago, Illinois United States

Of my numerous visits to Chicago, it was only on this most recent visit did I tour this branch of the Chicago Public Library in the Financial District close to Michigan Avenue. It reminded me so much of the one in New York albeit on a much smaller scale. Admission was free.

The ceiling on the mezzanine was very ornate with mosaics covering the entire space.

This was the carpeting.

There were several sayings written in various languages. I saw one in Spanish, French, German, and even in Persian.

How this bull statue reminded me of the one in New York. The difference is in Chicago, I didn't have to line up and wait to get my turn.
