Murals, Murals Everywhere in Santiago

30-Jul-2017 • Santigo Chile

It didn't take long for me to realize that Santiago is a city fond of murals. I saw them in many places. On walls, under bridges, gates, sidewalks, everywhere. The following images were taken during our entire stay in the city.

Some murals were artsy while others conveyed a strong message.

The murals featured in this post were taken mostly in the Bellavista area of Santiago.

These five murals we saw painted on the walls of a creek at Plaza Italia sure were colorful but the word Libre (Free/Freedom)certainly made people who saw them think that the artwork wanted to put across a thought.

The next three murals were actually painted on fences that surrounded a construction site. I cannot really recall the name of the area but it was walking distance from the Chilean handicrafts market.
