The Andes

31-Jul-2017 • Santiago Chile

It's been two weeks since I returned from Santiago, Chile but up to now I can't believe I actually stepped foot in the Andes. It was such a wonderful and memorable experience I shall cherish all my life. Who would have thought that I would get to visit it one day. Little old me from suburban Manila? It just never dawned on me I actually would.

We only entertained the idea of going after we realized there actually were tours to these famous mountains. We first asked about tours to this place in our hotel. The price we were quoted was exorbitantly high though. Then I suddenly remembered seeing the Touristik tour booth inside the Costanera Center. We went to the mall and when we found out that they were charging less, much less than the tour from our hotel, we booked.

This tour took the entire day. I most definitely loved the scenery. You be the judge.

This was a ski resort. Some Instagramm followers asked me what the vehicles were doing there. I believe they were displays. They must be selling those models.

I cannot believe I'm in the Andes!!!

We made a 45 minute stop here at this part of the Andes. It was most fun for visitors who had not seen nor played in the snow yet. I had many times but since it was in the Andes, I wasn't going to complain!

This snowman was a hit among travelers. Lots of people had their picture taken with it.

This was another resort.

These were some of the hotels we saw in the area.

Me!

In the Andes!!!
