Our Hotel in Santiago, The Sheraton Four Points in Providencias
As per the advice of a colleague from work and also a native of Santiago, Chile, Marc and I opted to stay at the Sheraton Four Points in the affluent neighborhood of Providencias, in Santiago.
I sure was glad we stayed here. Our room given us was huge and clean. The sheets of our bed were clean and crisp each and every night. It seemed like they changed them every single day. Because of Marc's status with this chain of hotel, our room was located in the 7th floor which was for their preferred members. What's more, we were given a late checkout on the day we departed Chile back to the US. 4 pm! It gave us time to sightsee some more in the morning, have lunch at the Costanera Mall, do some last minute shopping, and freshen up right before we left for the airport. We initially thought of taking the TransVIP shuttle to go back to the airport, but we changed our minds the last minute. When we learned that the hotel had its own limo to take us for the price of 24,000 pesos, we took their offer instead. That way, we didn't have to wait for anyone.
I truly, truly enjoyed our stay here. The area was very safe and in a lovely area of the city at that. It was surrounded by lovely fashion boutiques and chichi restaurants. It was likewise close to a number of metro stations. The biggest advantage with staying at this hotel was its proximity to the Costanera Center. Goodness, that mall was simply superb. It was a beautiful, upscale, modern, and fun!!! We went there every single day sometimes even twice a day.
