Our Very Last Day in Bangkok

25-Feb-2017 • Bangkok Thailand

By the time our very last day in Bangkok arrived, I was absolutely exhausted from all the travels we had done right from the time we left San Francisco. It had been a very memorable trip to Japan, Myanmar, and Thailand. However it was very hectic too.

On our very last day, Marc and I just walked to the nearby malls from our hotel, The Holiday Inn Express Siam, and spent most of the time there. We had lunch and dinner in the humongous food courts in many of the malls. The Paragon Mall was no doubt our favorite. It was here where we ate most of the time.

Never in a million years did I realize would I love the Hainanese chicken over rice. I always thought I would hate it since pictures of the food showed chicken that looked uncooked. Boy was I wrong! I had this dish three times!

I didn't exactly go crazy shopping in Bangkok. My classmate, Sonia, did take me to a tailor where I had six custom made shirts made. I had them all made with French cuffs.

Moreover, I did purchase some Burberry look a like scarves at 100 baht a piece as well as three other scarves to be used as home décor. That was it though.

My preferred mall in Bangkok, the Siam Paragon

Shrines dedicated to the recently deceased King Bhumibol were everywhere. It certainly showed how revered and loved he was by his citizens.

A tuktuk

There were Christmas decorations everywhere.

Siam Discovery Mall

MBK! Another favorite!
