On our second to the last day in Bangkok, Marc and I decided to join a tour of Ayutthaya. One of the stops included a visit to the Buddha head entwined at the roots of a tree.

I had visited it once in 2001 during my very first visit to Thailand but since Marc had not seen it, I suggested that we visited it this time around. I wanted to see it again myself.

Just like the very first time, visitors just like us who wanted their pictures taken in front of the head, had to kneel close by. No one was allowed to have their pictures taken standing up next to the sight.
