Pathum Wannaram Temple in Siam Square

14-Dec-2016 • Bangkok Thailand

Unlike other trips I've taken in the past where I read plenty of articles and books about the places Marc and I were going to visit, this time around I read very little to get myself ready for the trip to Bangkok. Perhaps, it was because I had been there before even though that first trip took place 15 years ago. At any rate, it didn't matter in the end. As long as there was internet on our I phone, looking up for attractions in the areas we found ourselves in while in Bangkok was a breeze. Since our hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, was in the Siam area, we simply googled attractions for Siam Square and the Pathum Wanaram Temple was one of the attractions listed. It turned out to be located nearby. Walking distance actually from where we were staying. I must say, Bangkok is the land of wats. There were lots of them everywhere.
