Madrid in Spain will always have a special spot in my heart. It is the very first city I have ever visited out of my native Manila. I must have blogged about it once before. I just can't help reminisce though. I still find it hard to believe that so much time has passed since I went there as a scholar of the Spanish government. I can still remember how happy I was to finally leave Manila and travel to Europe at that. I must say the three and a half years I spent there went so quickly. While I did return twice years after my first stay and lived in Salamanca instead, nothing can really compare to that very first trip. I need to return soon, hopefully in the summer of 2017!
