I can now happily say that I have been to Prince Edward Island. I have long wanted to visit the place since I saw it on Globetrekker, a hipster travel program on KQED. Of course, as a school teacher, I also heard of Cavendish, it being the town where the famous Anne of Green Gables' house is located.
I must say, the entire island of Prince Edward is a dream. It is so, so beautiful. Very peaceful, very tranquil, and its citizens, very polite and friendly. I am seriously considering living in Canada in the future, when I retire.

Finally! I'm at Anne's house in Green Gables.
The House of Anne of Green Gables fame. We truly lucked out on this visit. It was dry all throughout the week we were in Eastern Canada.
Here's a view of the Green Gables house from the woods.

At the garden
Beautiful flowers filled the garden at the Green Gables home where Anne lived.
Rustic is what I call the place even though it was right in the middle of the city of Cavendish. This was one of the trails leading to the woods.
Well, well. There is now an expansive golf course next to the Green Gables house.
