See You Again Soon, Las Vegas!

31-Dec-2015 • Las Vegas United States

I have reason to believe that Christmastime is one of the best times to visit Las Vegas. Despite the holiday season, rooms can be had for as low as $70 a night inclusive of all the resort fees and taxes. For a major tourist destination, that rate is dirt cheap for a hotel if you ask me.

With all the developments on the strip, I can honestly say that this city is a fun city to visit. It is for me the equivalent of Disneyland but for adults. Not only is there gambling, there are plenty of shows, incredible restaurants, buffets galore and tons to see. The hotel resorts are attractions themselves. The city is a visual feast for the eyes. It never dawned on me that the strip was so long until Marc and I tried to walk it from Luxor to the Fashion Show Mall and failed twice. It is just so long and along the way, it is very easy to get lost in every hotel. It is no wonder this place teems with people all year long.

I just read an article on one major news network on the net saying that for the sixth straight year, gambling revenues have gone down. I am not surprised. More people nowadays come here to soak in the atmosphere and gamble less. In fact, I never saw the casinos full. In fact, only a fraction of the gambling tables were open for business everywhere. How times have changed. Who would have thought that this place which once lived off the gains from casinos is now a top spot for families to vacation in. I shall return!
