I was so glad to see Molly Malone once again. I first saw her statue close to the College Green 17 years ago. But, with the current construction of a tram line, local authorities have moved her monument to the present site.

I shall always remember our Irish tour guide back in 1997 who described Molly as a "hardworker". She had her day job but she moonlighted as a woman of pleasure at night.

Marc and I actually visited this monument several times in one afternoon since there were always so many people around. It was virtually impossible to take a picture without anyone photobombing it. The first time Marc and I were there, there was one Irish group that literally hogged the monument to themselves as they decided to do a sing a long around it. Then there were the groups of students from different parts of Europe with their guides. Then, there was a family who had their toddler pose many, many times next to the monument.
