San Francisco Theater

16-May-2015 • San Francisco United States

I don't always travel to New York to watch fabulous theater. We have them in San Francisco too. Granted, the theater scene in the City of St. Francis is not as big and varied as New York's, we have them here nonetheless and they are just as grand.

I love watching plays and musicals. Their tickets are hardly cheap but the shows are well worth the amount one pays. In all the years I've lived in the US, I have seen my share of On Broadway and Off Broadway shows. In fact, I have seen two too in London (Damn Yankees and Oliver).

Miss Saigon was the very first musical I have ever seen. It was on my very first trip to New York with Marc. I also got to watch Les Miserable there one summer.

Back home in San Francisco, Phantom of the Opera was the first production I saw. I watched it with my mom on a quiet Saturday afternoon in the fall.

Here are some of the playbills of the shows I watched over the past years.

The Phantom of the Opera, San Francisco

Urinetown, San Francisco

A Christmas Carol, San Francisco

Jersey Boys

A Chorus Line, San Francisco

Hairspry, San Francisco

Kiss Me Kate

The Producers

The Allergist's Wife

Mama Mia

Showboat, the latest of all the shows I've seen.

I normally keep these playbills for posterity, but for some reason I cannot find the ones I had for the State Fair I watched in the Golden Gate Theater as well as Frankenstein and Wicked in the Orpheum Theater.
