Cozumel was fantastic! Given the culture vultures that Marc and I are, we had a wonderful time sightseeing. Many thanks to past visitors to the city who wrote reviews about it on Tripadvisor as well as the American Expats now residents of the place whose suggestions we heeded during our cruise stop there. We walked the entire length of the seawall and more. We saw many monuments to local heroes and citizens, window shopped, checked restaurants out, and spent a lot of time at the Museo de Cozumel.
This was my most favorite picture of Cozumel. It was so lively the day we were there and the sun was out shining brightly. We walked the entire length of the seawall or Malecon and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
This statue of a local statesman was the very first monument I saw upon exiting Punta Langosta, the cruise terminal. This was my second favorite scene from this town. The cruise ships as well as the blue waters of the Caribbean made for a picture perfect backdrop.
Pelicans were everywhere in Cozumel.
This huge Mexican flag towered over the town.
A pirate ship
We saw lots of fishing boats by the beaches.
The water by 9 am was oh so blue.
This was a Jamaican themed restaurant
A military camp
The Military Airport
What a façade! This was an apartment complex right by Cozumel's turquoise blue waters
The famous Margaritaville Bar and Restaurant

There were a lot of bars and restaurants in Cozumel. Just a block away from the waterfront, we found even more food establishments.
These were the signs for food served in this restaurant. It was so colorful. I was told it was okay to take pictures and so I did.
Right behind the cruise ship terminal is this big supermarket and mini mall, MEGA. We saw a lot of the ship's crew come here and shop. Marc and I actually came here too and bought a cable for my computer from an Office Depot.
The day is up. Time to reboard the ship.
