The Schloss Nymphenburg or Nymphenburg Palace
I was quite surprised to find out that the Nymphenburg Palace was so close to the city center of Munich. We only had to take a tram in front of the Main Railway Station and after a few minutes, we were in our destination. The trip did not involve any long train rides nor the purchase of expensive train tickets.
The admission to the palace only cost 6 euros per person. I realized later why it was so cheap. The palace was still undergoing a lot of renovation and only a few rooms were actually in good viewing condition. Otherwise the rest of the rooms in the huge palace were virtually empty and had painted white walls.
Most of the rooms that were open to the public were beautiful and elegant.
