In Grasmere

1-Jul-2014 • Grasmere England

I treasure my travels a lot. I have after all been dreaming of traveling the world since I was a sophomore in high school. They give me so many fond memories and I always find it refreshing to see new places. You can say that I have a rather virulent strain of the travel bug and it is a fact.

One disadvantage of traveling a lot though is that after a while, one forgets names of places. Had I not had these pictures from Grasmere, I would have actually forgotten I actually set foot in it. After a little research of the places Marc and I visited while on tour of the UK and Ireland, I realized we came here shortly after our boat ride on Lake Windermere. Both the Lake and Grasmere are in the Cumberland District of England after all.

England is one of my favorite countries in Europe and I hope to return soon for another visit. It is long overdue and I think 2015 might actually be the year for Marc and me to do it.

Grasmere is a small town with one particularly big attraction. The house where the English poet, Sir William Wordsworth, once lived in is located here.

The stone on William Wordsworth's grave. Grasmere in the Cumberland District in England was where the famous English poet once lived.
