The Farmer's Market at the Crocker Galleria

26-Jun-2014 • San Francisco, California United States

There are a number of Farmer's Markets in San Francisco. I have seen them at the Ferry Building, the Civic Center, and the Crocker Galleria. If I am not mistaken, the venues rotate. I know that the one in the Ferry Building is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays while the one at the Crocker Galleria takes place on Thursdays with another one on Tuesdays taking place soon every week.

Today being Thursday, I saw the one at the Crocker during lunch period. It was a lively scene. Office workers and organic food die-hards were there in full force.

This part of the market was by Sutter Street.

This part, on the other hand, was by Post Street.

Raspberries and blueberries

Strawberries

Blackberries

Bread, one of my favorites. I honestly cannot live without them although diet gurus swear people should abstain from eating these should they want to lose weight. Honestly, life for me would be sad if I had to give these up. I just can't.

Salted pretzels were a hit today. These sold like pancakes.

Plouts

Plums

Purple cabbage

Purple Cauliflower. Pardon my ignorance, but this was the first time for me to see one in this color.

Broccoli. Just like what the milk ad once stated years ago: It will do your body good.
