The Wells Fargo Museum

26-Jun-2014 • San Francisco United States

I cannot believe it took me this long to visit the Wells Fargo Museum in the city's financial district. It was a rather small museum and admission was free. Still, it did have a number of interesting exhibits. I particularly loved the stage coaches.

This was the stagecoach that greeted all visitors by the main entrance.

Here I am by the stage coach. I learned that on every stage coach, nine people could actually fit. I did board one in the museum and I must say, if nine people did travel on it, it must have been c-r-o-w-d-e-d.

This was the stage soach which visitors to the museum could board. One had to press a red button and a screen inside provided a mini movie which explained the history of the stage coaches as well the experiences of some important people, Charles Dickens included. Apparently, he rode one during his stay in the US back in his day.
