Borobodur, A Second Time Around

We didn't have much food in the fridge, so we decided to eat out for lunch today. Since there was still a lot of dishes I wanted to try out in Borobodur Restaurant, I suggested that we had lunch there. For two people, our tab's total with tip was only $21. Now that was a steal.

One word of caution when you come here for the lunch specials. Ask the server for the lunch special menu. It has happened twice already that we were given the regular menu with higher prices for the same exact food we wanted to eat. I just hope that the server simply forgot and that it was not a bait and switch practice.

It was half past 12 when we arrived and we happened to be the restaurant's first patrons that day.

The complimentary soup we were served today. I actually had it last Monday too. It had thin rice noodles, bean sprouts, an egg, and pumpkin, all mixed in a mildly spicy broth.

Marc had spicy beef and he loved it.

This was what I ordered. It was chicken in very spicy sauce. I liked it too.
