My First Christmas Away From Home

27-Feb-2014 • Barcelona Spain

There is no denying that while I was happy to be abroad and living in Europe, I missed my family terribly last Christmas 1987. It was after all, the very first time I was going to celebrate Christmas without them.

A few days before Christmas, a friend and fellow Atenean, Eugene Guanzon Sycip, asked Marvi, my room mate, and I, if we were interested in traveling with him to Barcelona. Since my social calendar was not exactly full of parties and events to celebrate the season, I agreed to go. Thus, a few days before Christmas day, off we all went on our Barcelona adventure.
