I am back in Madrid!

It was so nice to return to Madrid. How I wish I returned sooner. Had I not been accepted to the the Master's Program in Spanish Language and Culture at the University of Salamanca, I probably would not have gone back at all.

It was so nice to see the sights I used to visit frequently. I could not help but reminisce. I used to see them on a daily basis as I went to school, went back home, or simply walked around the city as if I were a tourist when I lived here in the late eighties and early nineties.

The statue of Sancho Panza and Don Quijote at Plaza de Espana. I love this park in the center of Madrid. I used to come here during the summer months with friends, classmates or just by myself to people watch, reflect, or simply pass the time away.

This was the huge hotel building right across Plaza de Espana.

Puerta de Alcala, Madrid

How can I forget this landmark? Upscale shopping street Calle Serrano was on one side of this gate. The dance club I also frequented on Friday and Saturday nights together with friends was likewise just a block away.
