After having spent the entire day prior in the tiny independent Republic of San Marino, Marc and I did more cultural blitzkrieging in Florence. It was a cloudy day. As long as it didn't pour though, we were happy. It was at this time when Florence began to really impress. Its sights were very beautiful and the shops even more so, especially for a shopper like me.
This was a copy of Michaelangelo's statue of David inside the Accademia. I must say, all the male statues' bodies were so well chiseled and contoured. It will take a miracle from the Divine Providence for me to have a bod like this.
