The Roman Forum and the Vittorio Emanuele Monument

27-Dec-2013 • Rome Italy

From the Colosseum, visiting the Roman Forum was a breeze. It was right next folks. Then from there we just walked to the humongous Vittorio Emanuele Monument which also housed the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

I must say the ruins were impressive in person than in pictures. I had seen pictures of it before from coffee table books and since I had not really been to Rome yet at that time, I couldn't relate. Marc and I just went around it on our first day. Later during our visit, we did buy tickets to visit it up close and it was wonderful.
