Palm Springs Air Museum
Both Marc and I love museums about airplanes, especially commercial ones. Hence, when we found out there was an air museum in Palm Springs, we just had to go. However, we later realized that the air museum was devoted primarily to military fighter planes and so we decided not to go in. At any rate, we really couldn't have even if we wanted to since there was a private function at the time of our visit composed of former US military pilots, some of whom flew the planes at the museum. Our trip didn't end up in vain though since there were many military planes parked right in front of the museum. This is what we found.

Among the attendees of the private function going on at the Air Museum at the time of our visit were the former pilots of airplanes in the museum. It was quite touching to see some already advanced in age and in wheelchairs. I can just imagine which wars they fought in. Thank you so much for defending our country.

The statue up close. I like the pose. So different from the usual stoic and upright poses of statues of politicians and national heroes.
The following were some fighter planes on display in front of the museum
