Will Test Again

It was 10 days ago when I was adviced to take a rapid (Antigen) Covid test as well as a PCR test at the head office of my school district.  This came a few days after two students from my class tested positive for the disease.  I did go and have in fact already received the results.  Both came out negative.

However, two days ago, another child from my class came to school sick and was with us the entire school day Thursday.  I spoke to the parent and apparently her daughter took the rapid test with the kit I gave her daughter early that morning.   Needless to say, I shall get tested yet again.  Yesterday too, my class had to be shut down and all of us sent home as soon as we entered school.

Just to be on the safe side, my entire class and I were told to hold classes by ZOOM next week less than a whole week of returning to in person learning.  I cannot tell you how scared I am even though other staff members in my school who got COVID mentioned to me that their symptoms were mild.

It's just sad that teachers are obligated to return to work under the current conditions.  It's like being told, you will get sick and you just have to grin and bear it.
