Oh Louis!
It has been a month now since I have been obsessing about buying Louis Vuitton. I thought of finally biting the bullet and making the purchase of a breast pocket wallet, an organizer, a passport cover, and a bag from the ever popular French brand.
It all started last March when I began watching the You Tube videos about a family who loves to buy branded goods every time they travel the globe and go shopping. I also find it absolutely enjoyable to watch many Filipinos who live in Japan and go thrift store shopping. There they are able to buy preloved LV everything for a little less than the original. What a hoot!
At first, it struck me as frivolous then again these people who love the brand so much made me think, ""Why not splurge and indulge a little?" I have after all have worked hard all my life and I can afford to buy. I even thought of buying a plane ticket to Tokyo this summer and go through a slew of thrift stores in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Koenji, and Ueno. Better yet, I'll buy everything new in France where LV sells the cheapest in the world. I priced all that I wanted and I figured if I bought them all here in the US, I'd spend roughly $3,500. Across the Atlantic, I'd pay $1,500 less. What a deal, don't you think? Besides, I'm already booked for Europe this summer.
Can you believe? I even googled the advantages of buying LV on the net. Many lovers of the brand say that the goods retain their value over time and that I can resell them in the future should I decide to. Frankly, if I buy, I honestly think I just want to enjoy owning some.
On the other hand, I still think it would be utterly extravagant and wasteful if I did make the purchase. Hence, I've entertained the thought of buying from another upscale brand but nowhere near as dear. Anyway, we shall see. While my mind tells me "NO", my heart beats "YES!"
