The Ibis Larco Miraflores

8-Dec-2019 • Lima Peru

Throughout our stay in Lima, the IBIS Larco Miraflores was our home. I have to say, the IBIS chain has been of great help to both Marc and I in our travels around the world. While our numerous trips could have cost us an arm and a leg, we are able to keep costs down by staying at this chain. It is a budget business class hotel but a darn good one. It is a no frills hotel but comfortable and very, very reasonable. We've stayed in some where the room price was a low as 35 euros to some as high as 150 euros a night. All depends on the city, its popularity and rank among world capitals. For our Lima stay, we paid US $70 a night for 5 nights. Not bad!

We also chose it for its location and proximity to Larcomar, one of the stops of the Lima Express Bus which we took from the airport. I had read about the hotel on Tripadvisor and it was highly recommended. Given that we travel with lots of suitcases at times, we opt to stay at hotels close to bus and train stations so we wouldn't have to carry our luggage long distances. In this case, The IBIS Larco was a mere 5 minutes walk from where we got off in front of the swank Larcomar Shopping Center.

This is the restaurant where we ate breakfast everyday.
