A Day in Leeds Castle

16-Aug-2019 • Leeds England

On my second day in England, Catherine and her son, Michael, took me to Leeds Castle. We had originally planned on going to Windsor Castle but tickets were no longer available. So Leeds Castle it was for us for the day. If I am not mistaken, the car ride took an hour from Sussex where we were coming from.

It was on a huge and spacious plot of land. It was impressive indeed to see how the English aristocrats lived years ago. My visit here reminded me of the TV series, Downton Abbey.

Anyway, it was my second visit to an English castle. The first one took place last 1997, during my very first visit to the UK. Marc and I joined a tour to Warwick Castle and that was quite unforgettable. The place sure was grand!

Next year, I plan to spend a lot of time in London and see more of these beautiful residences. Hopefully, Blenheim and Windsor next.

The very grand Leeds Castle.

There were lots of ducks at Leeds Castle. Lots and lots of them.
