The Roman Agora

31-Jul-2019 • Athens Greece

After the Acropolis, Marc and I decided to visit the sights covered by the combo ticket we purchased. Our ticket had a list of sights and the Roman and Greek Agoras were among those included. We didn't really have to walk very far since our hotel was close to these historic attractions.

I do remember us taking a nap shortly after lunch each day and taking a stroll around the city when the sun was about to set. It was more pleasant that way. Besides, we were still jetlagged for the entire first week we were traveling.

The area which contained the ruins wasn't really very big. Built from 19-11 B.C., it included columns and an octagonal tower called the Tower of the Winds.

These ruins greeted us by the entrance.

There were lots of broken columns scattered all over.
