I was so happy to finally step foot in a new country in the Caribbean. I know many people would say that the place we sailed to wasn't the real Haiti. Then again, I'm on vacation and all I wanted to do is enjoy myself in such beautiful surroundings like Labadee. The beaches sure were nice and the water divine. Goodness, how I miss Nellie's Cove now.
This was the sign I had been wanting to see and take a picture of. We sure lucked out around lunch time when the sign was not surrounded by s single traveler. Good for us who wanted to take a beautiful picture.
Our ship, the Navigator of the Seas, docked in Labadee, it's own private resort and property in Haiti.
Beaches galore in Labadee
Despite the thousands of us who disembarked in Labadee, the beaches were not full. There were enough lounge chairs to go around.
Nellie's Cove where I spent the day swimming. The water here sure was divine!!!
Adrenaline Beach
Another beach area in the resort
Singing group, Men of Culture. This band sang so well. Out of this world singing, I say! They sang on board every day in different venues.
A mural in one of the beach areas
This was where we had lunch. Food and refreshments were provided for all passengers who left the ship to swim at the beaches.
