How I missed thee, Amsterdam!
I have many fond memories of Amsterdam. My last trip prior to this visit may have taken place 28 years ago but thanks to pictures that I took, I remember a lot about my stay and my adventures here. I stayed in Leiden the entire time I was here but I came to Amsterdam almost daily to sightsee.
There sure have been changes. Gee, plenty! We were here for several days yet I didn't get to see everything. Even the Central Station has changed!
I consider Amsterdam's Central Station an icon of the city. It was my very first contact with Amsterdam as I arrived by train.
I went shopping here before and I did so again on this visit. I bought an elegant striped shirt here for my suit and I still remember it to this day. I no longer have it but I most certainly wore it till its sleeves started to tear.
