At Plaza de España in Seville
Hello my dear friends! I know I said I was going to post more often shortly before I posted the last time. But, as is often always the case, work gets in the way and I just couldn't. It just seems there are not enough time in the day for me to work and blog at the same time. Today, I do have some free time since I have the day off after conducting 25 parent conferences at this time of the year.
Anyway, these pictures were taken last July as my trip to Spain and my summer vacation were winding down. Like my trips to places I've previously visited, the quick visit to Plaza de España was a trip down memory lane. It was just my second visit and the first, mind you, took place decades earlier while I was still studying and living in Madrid. I won't even say when for fear I'd be dating myself. Haha!
The place has not changed. At least that's how I remembered it. Still beautiful as when I first laid eyes on it. It was a good thing it was not as hot. Otherwise, after being on the road for nearly three weeks and being exposed to the sun every single day, I would have melted.
I just had to have my picture taken here. I once lived in Salamanca, you know. I went to graduate school at the University of Salamanca and actually graduated! Can you believe it? Yes, it was here where I received my Masters in Spanish Language and Culture. Had I been told I would one day be an alum of Spain's most prestigious university, I would have laughed! It sure was a dream come true for me! Thank God Almighty!
