This post marks the end of my entries about our recent visit to Lisbon. It was a wonderful, amazing, marvelous, and unforgettable visit. I truly fell in love with Lisbon. So much so, I've decided to return in the summer of next year. A million thanks to Marco, Luis, and Pedro for meeting with us and making our visit extra special.
Here are some snapshots of places and things I took. I miss Lisbon already!
I left my heart in Lisbon!
The City of Lisbon! How cool is that view?
Beautiful architecture
Street art was everywhere adding to the old world charm of the city
Art was truly everywhere.
A detail on a local church
Tiles, tiles, tiles everywhere.
This sign sure reminded us of our visit to Turkey just days earlier.
Trams of all colors were everywhere. So old world, so nice!
A statue, just one of the many that dotted the city.
A funicular. We saw it twice during our stay but we wondered if it was still in use. We never saw it move up nor down and there were no people lining up to ride it.
I haven't seen a scene like this in years!
Where did all the people go?
The Ribeira reminded me of the Mercado San Miguel in Madrid. It was replete with eateries and customers.
