The Monument to the Discoveries

11-Aug-2018 • Lisbon Portugal

If I were to be asked which attraction I liked the most in Lisbon, I would answer without any doubt, the Monument to the Discoveries. It is a known fact that the Portuguese discovered a lot of places. In fact, the land of my birth, the Philippines was discovered by Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese who traveled and explored the world under the auspices of the King and Queen of Spain.

Here's the view from the other side of the monument.

This was our view of the monument as we approached it after we got off the tram.
