At the National Air and Space Museum

It was my second time in the National Air and Space Museum. While the line was long to get in, going through security was quick and painless. The hard part was standing in line out in the cold since the line stretched all the way out of the building.

I found the entire site rather dated. My partner, Marc, thought so too. It was only when we went to their other branch far out in the suburb near Dulles Airport did we find out that the museum will soon undergo a refurbishment. I do think it is high time it did.

I just wish I bought the book about this museum. That way, I could have labeled all the pictures I have here in this entry.

I have always loved airplanes and yes, the area where we saw American Airlines, United, and a host of other now defunct airlines was where we spent the most time. I think we must have spent a good two hours here.

There was also an gallery that showed old planes flown during the second world war. There was even one from the war enemy back then, Japan!

There were lots of space ships and space craft there too. They were hard to miss. Not only were they big, they were literally placed by the entrance to the museum.
