A trip to Dubai is never complete without a visit to its famous souks. Be forewarned that should you come here, you have to have a lot of patience since the touts here can be pretty aggressive and don't take no for an answer. You have to be firm and if not interested in buying anything, say no and move on. Many do leave you alone after a few attempts. Just don't be intimidated. There were many souks. Souks were divided according to the merchandise sold in each one. One had gold, another textiles, then another spices, so on and so forth.

I wish I could tell you about the prices but I didn't shop here at all. First of all, I didn't know how to haggle nor did I want to try. Second, I heard it was pretty expensive here so there. It was an experience though walking along the gold souk. The shop windows were quite a sight!
