Tadich Grill in San Francisco's financial district claims to be the city's oldest restaurant. I've only dined here twice in all the years I've lived in the city. I don't come that often because it is a pricey place. While I do like the elegant atmosphere, I find it hard to part with so much cash for the same kind of food I can get elsewhere. We come on special occasions.

Would I recommend coming here? Yes, I do but only after you've gone over their menu and you've decided you don't mind splurging. We tend to order their seafood platter and we share it at times. I do love their old world charm. It is very elegant here. The wait here can be very, very long and so bring lots of patience with you too besides loads of cash.
