Christmas is Coming!!!
It may have been a scorcher today here in the Bay Area but no one can stop Christmas from coming. A number of stores in Union Square were ready with their Christmas lanes. There were trees, stockings, ornaments, teddy bears, the works folks. While some may not entertain the idea of Christmas yet, I, on the other hand, have begun decorating my residence. Oh yes, I don't believe in procrastinating this year. I didn't set any tree up last year. This year, I'm celebrating the year's most joyous season with a bang. I'm putting up two trees!
Inside Macy's Holiday Lane. There was a big group of tourists from Europe and many were just in awe of the decorations. I even overheard one lady from the UK lamenting the lack of décor in her neck of the woods. Then, another tourist exclaimed, "We have nothing like this in Europe!"
A scene inside Neiman Mark-up, I mean, Marcus. Neiman Marcus is my hands down favorite department store in the city. It oozes with glitz and glam and yes, it is very, very expensive.
It was only when I arrived in the US did I see so many kinds of ornaments. I grew up seeing just the colored balls. Here, there's a thousand kinds and themed trees galore.
