I have always been a city person. That changed though very recently at the conclusion of my latest summer vacation to Atlantic Canada. It dawned on me that there was a lot to admire in living in a small city where calm and peace reigned. With all the violence in the US, Canada's peaceful cities were such a delightful contrast. Its small cities were such sheer delight to walk in. They felt safe and tranquil. Even the teenagers we saw were ever so polite!!! What a difference from back home. I saw this played out city after city throughout the time I was in Eastern Canada beginning with Fredericton, New Brunswick.

This park was very popular with the locals the day we were there. A very Scottish concert was being held.
