Glossy Magazines

I used to love reading magazines. I suppose I still do. I just don't read every magazine there is now. In the last few years, I have actually received many in the mail even without subscribing to them. I haven't the foggiest idea where the companies publishing them got my name nor address. Anyway, I have received some really bad ones despite their very glossy pages filled with ads for high end fashion labels for watches, shoes, clothes, and what have you. One doesn't have to be a genius to figure out that they are mere ads for very exclusive merchandise.

Many even featured pages upon pages of people gracing city events and parties. While I do stop and read about such posh fashion events like the MET Gala and academy awards, for other events, my attitude has been "Who cares?".

Anyway, for some reason, I have really been enjoying the Departures magazine which we receive once every two months for a total of six issues in a year. I now get ideas for dressing up from this publication and it also makes me reminisce about the places they feature and which I have visited. Fancy that.
