I have long observed that in the US, the gingerbread house forms part of the Christmas décor not just in many private homes but in many places like hotels, patisseries, and even offices. It is very much a part of the year's most important holiday and I do say, they are a delight to look at. Not only are they colorful, many do literally smell sugary sweet.

At the Rampart buffet of the JW Marriott Hotel located in Summerlin, I saw not just one gingerbread house but an entire gingerbread village. How I wished I took more pictures of it!
